Seeing Him Again

My heart broke all over again seeing Spencer standing there in front of me looking incredibly hot in dark jeans and a fitted shirt rolled three quarters of the way up his arm.

“What don’t I deserve to know? If you two have been seeing each other behind my back I won’t be happy” Spencer threatened and I couldn’t believe he thought that, I knew Alec was a shameless flirt but come on.

Alec looked over at me before scratching the back of his neck, “No that’s not what is going on, she was being harassed by some guy near the bar and I pulled her away. I just wanted to make sure she was alright before I handed her over to the girls, that’s all”

Spencer looked over at me, I swear it was almost like he was watching me as if to see if Alec was telling the truth. I knew it would be bad if he found out Nathan was inside, it wouldn’t end well for either of them.

“Dri is that true?”

“Yes” I replied to Spencer before heading past him to find the girls but he grabbed my arm instead.

“Alec head inside, I want a word with Dri” Spencer looked over me at Alec, I didn’t hear a reply but after a few seconds I saw Alec walked past both of us and headed back inside.

“What do you want Spencer?” I spoke quietly trying to not look up at him

“Because I know you’re lying, it’s more than some guy harassing you at the bar. For one you look shaken and two there is a hand print wrapped around your wrist” he placed his fingers under my chin and forced me to look at him but I didn’t like what I saw on his face.

“No, you don’t get to care. You broke up with me, why should I tell you what happened when you gave that right up!” I ripped my arm out of his and took a step back so my back was against the wall.

But all he did was take a step closer to me and his face fell, “I didn’t break up with you Dri, I suggested we take a break so you can deal with this whole Nathan thing since I didn’t know how to be there for you”

“And everyone knows taking a break is code for breaking up” I spoke as a tear ran down my cheek, Spencer stepped closer to me and wiped the tear away.

“I still love you and care deeply about you, I certainly don’t want to break up with you. I just don’t know how much I can take sitting there and watch you break down because of Nathan, I knew the girls could have been there for you while I couldn’t, I honestly thought this would be better for you”

“Spence…” he lowered his face so it was incredibly close to mine and my breath hitched at being able to smell his cologne.

“Dri I miss you, now what honestly happened in there?”

“Nathan…” was all I managed to get out before Spencer took a step away from me and headed back towards the bar, I stayed there for a moment before pressing myself off the wall and heading inside looking for Spencer or Alec.

I had entered and found Spencer and Alec arguing, I figured Alec was refusing to tell Spencer which one was Nathan. When Spencer first found out about Nathan he didn’t care to know what he looked like since I haven’t heard from him but now…well I didn’t know what Spencer was thinking.

“Adrianna I was hoping we could talk” I jumped at the sound of Nathan’s voice.

“Leave me alone Nathan” I hissed at him and tore my gaze away from the boys and looked at him

“Why? I just want an innocent conversation”

“What like that innocent conversation at Jake’s party where you raped me?”

“You were drunk, you don’t even remember that night. Why would I rape you? I loved you”

“That’s not what Emery and Sutton said Nathan, now if you excuse me I have to find my friends” I turned around to leave and I ran into someone else, I looked up and noticed it was Spencer and he looked furious and I wondered how much he exactly heard.

Spencer put an arm around me and pulled me close to his body while looking at Nathan, “I’m Spencer Dri’s boyfriend and I believe it’s time for you to leave and not come back”

“Oh I was told Adrianna didn’t have a boyfriend” I was going to kill my mother, I put my hand on Spencer’s back trying to calm him down.

“Yes well your information is wrong, now if I hear you have been in contact with her I will make sure that restraining order gets put back in place” Spencer threatened and I was surprised to see that Nathan didn’t falter, he still had that smug smile on his face.

Nathan turned from Spencer and looked at me, “I will see you around Adrianna” and then he turned and left not even giving Spencer the chance to say anything.

When Nathan was gone I pulled away from Spencer but he grabbed my arm to prevent me from completely leaving. “You’re going to find the girls and say goodnight, we need to talk”

“No you’re angry, you need to calm down and then we will talk” I spoke softly and he face finally softened and his gripped loosened on my arm

“Why the hell didn’t you tell me that he raped you?” so he had heard the conversation.
