First Fights

A bonus post for you all, since I was able to get a bit more writing done this week and it's a thank you for sticking with my lack of posting schedule for the last couple of posts.

Is It Too Good To Be True?

It was almost 3am by the time I crawled into bed beside Spencer, I had to literally shove at him in hopes of getting some space in my bed.

I had told Lee she could stay in the guest room for as long as she wants and I would get the spare key from Spencer to give to her so she could come and go as she pleases.

“Is everything alright between the two of you now?” Spencer mumbled as I curled up against his chest.

“It will be.”

“Is everything alright between us?” he kissed the top of my head and at first I was silent, I didn’t know how to respond.

After talking to Lee and telling her everything that had been kept from her, the news of hearing about Spencer and Scarlet seems so far away. It makes me realise that the problem I created was just trivial compared to everything else going on in our lives, I had Spencer now anyway and wasn’t that what I’ve wanted for so long? And plus, we were broken up, he didn’t do anything wrong and I was with Damon.

I had to believe after everything we have been through to get to this point in our lives that he loved me, he has tried to so hard to stay by my side through everything since he returned to the city even when I pushed him away. I had to remember that he loved me, he fought for me and is constantly trying to prove he won’t leave again when things change because he knew he made a mistake last time.

“Everything is perfect, I’m sorry I lost it at you.” I softly kissed his neck

“I’m sorry I kept it from you.”

“Mhmm, I love you Spence.” I mumbled against him before I started to fall asleep.

“I love you too Dri, so much.” That was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.

I woke up to Spencer softly brushing hair out of my face before he softly kissed my forehead, I grabbed his wrist and opened my eyes.

“Where do you think you are going?” I questioned sounding half asleep still, he gave me a smile before laying back down and I closed my eyes hoping to get some more sleep.

“I was going to check on your sister and maybe think about making a start on breakfast but maybe with you being awake I will change that plan.”

I had no idea what he had in mind, well up until he started pushing my shirt up higher that I realised. “Spence?” I tried to get his attention but he didn’t reply, he just placed his lips on my neck and began sucking and nibbling there.

“Spence we can’t, not with Lee here.” I pushed against his chest and I was glad when he pulled and rested his forehead on the bed beside me.

“You’ve never had a problem with us having sex with someone here before.”

“Yes but I made the mistake of finding an apartment where the guest bedroom was right next to the master, I fucked up Spence.”

Spencer had lifted his head and looked at me with a look of shock on his face and I knew why, me admitted I fucked up was something I rarely did, especially with something like this.

“Wait, did you just admit to doing something wrong?” I nodded shyly and he gave me a funny look.

“Are you sure you’re my girlfriend? When you came to bed you forgave me for the whole Scarlet thing without me even having to explain and you over looked something when it came to finding this place.” I watched as his eyes ranked over my face.

“Oh you think you’re so funny,” I pushed him off of me as I headed towards the bathroom. “For being an ass you can shower alone.” I grinned at him but the look on his face caused me to run for the bathroom hoping to lock the door before he could enter.

Except he was too quick for me, he managed to push on the door just as I was about to lock and it caused me to frown at him.

“Please don’t frown beautiful,” he cupped me face before kissing my forehead.

“But I said you weren’t showering with me, you’re showering alone.” I said sternly but he just shook his head before pushing me backwards to the shower.

“I promise just a shower.”

“But…” he cut me off with a kiss.

“And tonight I’m going to convince Emery and Sutton to entertain Lee for the night.”

“Have fun with that,” I grinned at him but he didn’t say anything in return before pulling my shirt over my head and turning the shower on.

Regret (Lee's POV)

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have no valid reasons aside from lack of time and writers block. At this point in time I cannot guarantee to have a post ready every week, I will try to post when I can but ever since returning home I finally have a full time job doing something I love and it's taking all my time at the moment.

I Have Every Right To Be Mad, Right?

“Dri, stop. Please” Spencer called after me, following me while I was heading towards the bar where I had left Emery, I noticed that Conner had left but I pushed that thought to the back of my mind, wondering where Emery had gone.

“Why, so you can try and convince me I didn’t see what I know I saw?” I snapped at him before signalling the bar tender.

“You don’t get to be mad about this.”

“I don’t get to be mad? I don’t get to be mad about the fact that you kept something from me? I’m not mad that you were screwing someone else, I’m mad you didn’t tell me. I thought we were passed everything that had come out on that night when we sat down and told each other everything that happened while we were apart!”

Spencer didn’t say anything, his jaw tightened as he gripped my arm and dragged me down the hallway.

“Let go of me,” I hissed at him while attempting to pull my arm from his grasp but his jaw just tightened even more.

“Why the hell are you mad at me?” Spencer growled at me.

“Why didn’t you tell me you had sex with someone else while you were in London?” The anger slipped from his face as he cupped mine.

“Because it killed me to know that you were dating someone else, I didn’t want to put you through that by telling you about Scarlett.”

I shook my head at him before heading back down the hallway looking for Emery hoping she can distract me what I was just told without asking questions.

Except I didn’t find Emery, I found Alec instead. I made my over to him and he gulped at seeing how angry I was.

“What am I in trouble for this time?” Alec grinned at me but I shook my head.

“Did you know about Scarlett?” I questioned while willing myself to not cry in public.

Alec didn’t say anything to begin with, he just put an arm around my shoulder and pulled me close. “I did try to convince him to tell you, I told him it would backfire but he thought he was protecting you from the inevitable pain of knowing the truth.”

“But she’s here, she obviously works for the same company.”

“Please tell me you aren’t mad that the two of them had something, I don’t know what it was exactly but it was still something because you have no right Dri.”

I took a deep breath before pulling away and facing Alec, “I’m not mad that it happened, I’m mad that it was kept from me. Did he tell you he was the one that forced the two of us to set down and clear the air about everything that happened from the moment we broke up?”

“No…”

I shook my head, I really didn’t want to be here much longer for the night but I also knew I couldn’t sneak out early. Emery would question it, Spencer would follow me and possibly get in trouble for bailing on the event and the senior partners have already spotted me, saying they were pleased with my appearance here.

I tried searching all over the hall in hopes of finding Emery but I couldn’t spot her anywhere, it wasn’t until to the bathroom that I found her hiding out in there.

“There you are! What happened with Spencer?” she exclaimed as soon as I entered and I just frowned at her.

“What was going on with you and that Connor person?”

“He is what you would call a notorious play boy who has set his sights on me,” she scrunched her face up and I instantly knew she was disgusted by him.

“Oh what, that’s a shame he was really hot and aren’t you normally into the whole ‘no strings attached thing’?” I smiled at her innocently but she glared at me.

“Don’t you dare start thinking I will be perfect for him, blah, blah,” she waved her hand around and I couldn’t help but laugh.

I knew I would need Sutton’s help with this one, Emery rarely reacted like that with a guy unless she liked them or someone else. She always flirted and got her free drinks out them and if she was feeling up for it she would go home with them, I have never seen her act like this.

“Spencer was having sex with another girl in London…” I spoke as I walked over and took a seat beside her on the couch.

I also thought it was weird to see couches in women’s bathrooms like this but I suppose it gave us somewhere to sit where we bad mouthed our dates for the night.

“You can’t honestly be mad about that, seriously I thought you were smarter than that and hell Dri you were dating Damon,” she stared at me in shock and this time I glared at her.

“I’m not mad about him having sex, I’m mad that he didn’t tell me.”

“Oh yes that, yes you have every right to be mad especially considering he was the one that wanted to have that conversation the other night.”

Emery was still hanging out at my apartment after our shopping trip the other night when Spencer returned, we both demanded to know why Spencer requested Emery to leave interrupting our girls’ night. He stated his reason and Emery and I stared at each other, she left when we recovered from our shock.

“He thinks he was protecting me, but it hurts more knowing he purposely kept it from me. If we hadn’t had that conversation the other night, okay maybe I wouldn’t be so mad…” Emery scoffed and I raised an eyebrow at her.

“Don’t lie Dri, you would still be mad that Spencer kept something from you, it’s the way you are.”

“Whatever, I just want to go home,” I complained tearing my gaze away from Emery.

“Then go home, you don’t have to be here. You’re here as Spencer’s date, not on your firms invite.”

Emery was right, I didn’t have to be here. I agreed to come with Spencer because I knew the charity was for a good cause and I’ve already done my part.

I quietly slipped out of the hall making sure to grab my coat on the way out before hailing a cab and heading home.

I had just left my bathroom after having a hot shower as soon as I got home, I just hoped the hot shower could wash away my issues.

I was standing in my bedroom wrapped in a towel looking for clothes when I heard the front door slam shut and panic instantly set in, I quickly looked around in hopes of finding a weapon but I couldn’t find anything so I ran for my closet to hide in.

I was sitting on the floor of my closet when I heard the footsteps getting closer, I didn’t know who was in my apartment but I was terrified. I crawled further back into my closet, I was stupid enough to knock something over.

The sound was muffled by the carpet but it was still a noise, I had to put a hand over my mouth to stop the gasp that was trying to escape.

I could hear the footsteps in my bedroom, more panic set in causing me to bury my head in between my knees and chest in hopes they will take what they want and leave, leaving me alone.

“Dri?” my head shot up at the sound of Spencer’s voice.

“You scared me,” I spoke softly causing him to frown before he walked over and squatted in front of me wiping away the tears I didn’t even realise I had.

“I’m sorry babe, I truly am. I honestly think that it’s time you see that therapist, I’ve come storming into your apartment before and you haven’t freaked out like this. I will even come with you because we can’t keep lying to ourselves, I panicked when I realised you were gone and Emery refused to tell me where you went.”

I looked at Spencer, considering how mad we were at each other earlier to see him this worried when we haven’t even talked about the issue yet.

All I could do was nod, “alright, how about I call Kirsten and ask her if she can give us some names?”

Spencer leaned over and softly kissed my forehead before pulling up from my position in the corner of the room.

Who Is She?

I was sitting on my couch going through paperwork for work when I heard my apartment door open. I just assumed it was Emery even if I didn’t know why she would be coming over anyway.

“Honey, I’m home.” I couldn’t help but laugh out at Spencer’s comment. I was too distracted by him being an idiot to even question how he ended up with my spare key.

“What are you doing here?” I questioned before leaning up to give him a kiss.

He pulled away he put out a huge bouquet of flowers from behind his back. “Uh oh, I feel another favour coming on.” I said.

“But you love going shopping,” he grinned at me and I raised an eyebrow.

“What’s going on and how did you get my key from Emery?”

“Because we both knew I would have an easier time of convincing you to go shopping babe,” I couldn’t help but laugh as he jumped over the back of the couch before leaning over and kissing me again.

“And why I am going shopping? Last I heard you complained about how many clothes I have because it takes me so long to get ready before going out.”

“The company is throwing a charity benefit…”

“Oh is that the Thomas Riccet one?”

“How’d you know?” he looked a little surprised but I just grinned at him.

“The senior partners were talking about it today. I was obviously not invited.”

“So you’ll come with me and go shopping with Emery?” he looked so hopeful, I had no choice but to nod my head.

“Of course I’ll go with you, you idiot. I have a feeling that because Emery is coming shopping me with it means she is going. I’m hoping I can convince her to bring Alec as her date because it will be just like old times.” He grinned at me before grabbing my paperwork.

“Ah, be careful with those please.”

“Babe are you really questioning me? I know you and I know how funny you are when it comes to your paperwork. I’m just going to place them on the table and I’m going to fuck your brains out.”

I couldn’t believe just how easily that sentence turned me on, and my god, did he fuck my brains out.

It was the following Friday night and time of the charity benefit. I hadn’t even seen Spencer since this morning and I hadn’t seen his reaction of me in the dress. Is it bad that every time I buy new dresses or lingerie I always try to imagine my boyfriend’s reaction?

I got ready with Emery and we arrived together while we waited for both Spencer and Alec. It actually wasn’t that hard to convince her it would be a lot of fun having Alec there with us. In fact Emery had said that it would be a lot of fun for the three of us.

“My, my, don’t you two look lovely.” I looked over at Emery and wanted to laugh at the look on her face.

I turned around to look at who was hitting on us, “Hi I’m Dri and you are?”

“I didn’t realise you were attending Conner,” Emery said as she grabbed my outstretched hand.

There was obviously something I was missing when it comes to this Conner person. I needed to confront Emery about it but instead something caught my eye across the room.

I walked away from the conversation Conner and Emery were having and heading towards where Spencer was standing with what I would consider to an incredibly beautiful women obviously flirting with him and he was flirting back.

“There you are, I was wondering where you were.” I stepped in beside him and linked my arm through his.

My anger boiled at the death glare the women was giving me but I just looked at Spencer.

“Spence, I must say your date for the night is stunning.”

Date for the night? Who the hell is this woman? I suddenly realized something. She had a British accent.

“Spence?” I growled trying to keep my voice low.

Spencer finally looked at me and the look on his face was enough to tell me everything. He was screwing that woman when he was in London.
